Emotional Peace |
~ What is EFT? ~ EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is based on the ancient principles of acupuncture. EFT is a simple tapping procedure that gently realigns the body's energy system, without the discomfort of needles. Unlike other energy healing methods, EFT incorporates an emotional element to the healing process, addressing unresolved emotional issues as a likely cause of physical disease, psychological dysfunction, and personal performance limits. Negative emotional experiences disrupt the energy meridians that run through our body. The physical changes we feel from those disruptions, like nausea or anxiety, become attached to the memory of that experience and affect the way we see the world…until we heal that disruption. Properly applied, EFT quickly realigns the energy meridians with respect to negative memories, disconnects the physical discomfort that we attached to it, and quite often removes the resulting symptoms. Extensive application of EFT has shown impressive improvements in a wide variety of issues, including those listed below. PERSONAL PERFORMANCE Abundance Overcoming Personal Limitations Overcoming Self-Sabotage Weight Loss Business and Career Goals EMOTIONAL CHALLENGES Children's Behavior Relationship Issues Anger Management Depression Insomnia Trauma Addictions Food Cravings Stress-Eating Sexual Abuse Fears and Phobias Anxiety PHYSICAL CONDITIONS Acute and Chronic Conditions Pain Syndromes Back Pain Fibromyalgia / CFS Arthritis Headaches / Migraine Irritable Bowel Syndrome EFT was designed and developed by Gary Craig, a Stanford Engineer, from the earlier work of Dr. Roger Callahan on Thought Field Therapy. TFT relies on complex sequences of tapping the points. Gary Craig adapted and refined the TFT protocols and developed the EFT Emotional Freedom Techniques protocol, which is more effective, amendable to self-use and overall more user-friendly. Gary Craig's website is http://www.emofree.com contains a wealth of valuable resources and information pertaining to different symptoms and conditions, including treating Vietnam veterans for severe post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), fears and severe phobias, sports performance, performance anxiety and addictions to cigarettes, sugar and much more. |

A Word about Certification and Qualifications in EFT At the present time, the sole international standard for training and certification in Emotional Freedom Techniques is through the original organization overseen by Gary Craig, who is the founder and developer of EFT. This provides for a uniform standard of training and certification worldwide. However, training and certification are voluntary, as there are no laws or rules that require a practitioner to undergo such training. As a result, there are a number of generic "tapping" methods that are offered by various practitioners that may or may not be supported by any specific standard of training or knowledge assessment. We recommend that you explore the qualification and skill set of any practitioner who you consider working with. These comments are offered to assist you in understanding the diversity that exists in the growing field of energy therapy and "tapping" and help you get the best and most successful outcome. |
