~ What is TAT? ~ Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) was developed in 1993 by Tapas Fleming from her work with patients in her acupuncture practice. TAT is a combination of gently touching specific acupressure points commonly referred to as "the pose" while putting one's attention on a particular problem, issue or event. TAT is an easily self-administered mind-body approach to restructuring the neuropathways that have been affected by repeated stress or trauma. The combination of placing one's attention on whatever issue you are addressing and holding the pose, helps release the energetic blocks, emotional charge or other distress associated with the issue, but without the needles of acupuncture. TAT was originally developed to help neutralize people's particular food sensitivity reactions in just the way acupuncture would, but without the needles. TAT is an elegantly simple, gentle, graceful healing tool that can be used to address both physical and emotional issues, such as: PERSONAL PERFORMANCE Abundance Overcoming Personal Limitations Overcoming Self-Sabotage Achieving Business and Career Goals EMOTIONAL CHALLENGES Children's Behavior Relationship Issues Anger Management Weight Loss Stress-Eating Food Cravings Anxiety Depression Insomnia Trauma Addictions Sexual Abuse Fears and Phobias Negative Thought Patterns Creating a more fulfilling Life PHYSICAL CONDITIONS Acute and Chronic Conditions Pain Syndromes Back Pain Weight Loss Fibromyalgia / CFS Arthritis Headaches / Migraine Irritable Bowel Syndrome |
